Sam Seymour is the husband of Mrs Pam Seymour (our Early Years Co-ordinator) and he is the man in charge of producing our school newspaper 'Acorn Express'.
Year 5 and Year 6 children meet on a Tuesday lunchtime to work on articles for the school newspaper. Mr Seymour comes in on this day to work with them. Children produce articles about work that has been done in school, special events in school, staff in school, and help Mr Seymour with the termly competition.
The children take photographs and interview staff, governors and Friends of the School in order to produce copy for the newspaper.
The newspaper is paid for through sponsorship and advertising. It is then given to parents of pupils in the school, staff in school, governors, advertisers and other interested parties. (If you wish to place an advert in our newspaper please contact Sam Seymour at seymoursam@hotmail.com. ) Each addition so far as been of 20 pages and 300 copies have been produced.
